“Three tomatoes are walking down the street- a poppa tomato, a momma tomato, and a little baby tomato. Baby tomato starts lagging behind. Poppa tomato gets angry, goes over to the baby tomato, and smooshes him… and says, Catch up”—Mia Wallace
This song gives me all types of great feelings. (Even though the song is about falling out of love)
When I met my boyfriend two years ago we used to always talk music.
One of the first times I ever hung out with Alec was sitting in Grant Park eating Subway after class. He was browsing my iPod and asked me if I liked Bon Iver—I smiled and said maybe. (My friend had put that Bon Iver CD on my iPod a while back but I had never listened to it—but I was trying to be cool, ya know.)
We left in opposite directions and when I pressed play on my iPod he had put it on skinny love. Although not the most romantic song, it was the cutest thing any guy has done.
To this day I am obsessed with Justin Vernon. (And madly in love with my guy)
The Weekend: Birthday celebrations, fine dining and little Donkey Kong
I gripe a lot about being busy.
With having 2 internships, being a full-time student and working some retail, I don’t find much time to really enjoy my weekends. If I don’t have a plethora of work to do, I usually end up stressing about the plethora of work I know I’ll eventually have to do.
But this weekend brought many smiles, dance moves and silliness—you know, it was just one of those weekends.
